Sometimes there is a rally before the end. May he be in a state of grace when that comes.
He has my prayers. And skepticism regarding all of the “death watch” reports is the first order of the day.
Pope Francis has more lives than a cat. His endurance is one of his salient characteristics, although at age 88 I suspect they got him to a hospital just in time.
It’s my sincere prayer that he repents and tries to undo some of the damage he has caused in the 13 years he has been the Pope.

My wife and I were in Italy in December. I asked two people what they thought of Georgia Meloni, a cab driver and a tour guide at the Vatican. Neither of them had a positive opinion. The cab driver blew a raspberry. A small sample to be sure, but probably the same opinion they would have of Trump.
