PopeWatch: McElroy

Go here to read the story.  In many ways the Pope is a typical Argentinian.  Anything he perceives as disrespect is going to get a negative reaction from him.  Cupich played him like a fiddle.

Cdl. McElroy is part of the McCarrick crew, as a commenter on the Pillar story astutely pointed out. The ADW is already in dire straits financially, and they need people to run out the clock on all those foibles. McElroy buys somewhere in the 8-10 year range, being a red hat. I think he’s 70?

Like I said in my other post, vett all the R visas ( religious workers) and weed out the heretics and commies. It’s a consular process, so you don’t need to give reasons for declining.

Remarkable: They have one major task they should accomplish, preach the gospel and pray, they do only reluctantly. In contrast, the one major task they should NOT accomplish, play politics, they do with alacrity.

Sadly, McElroy’s solution to most problems seems to be “let the government solve the problem”. Freedom to worship God worthily will likely not be a high priority.

McElroy will do the near impossible…make a bad situation in the Washington Archdiocese worse.

“In many ways the Pope is a typical Argentinian. Anything he perceives as disrespect is going to get a negative reaction from him”. Hello, Donald. I am a typical Argentinian, and I react against your slightly disrespectful statement with understanding, patience and forgiveness. As you see, nothing negative in my reaction! God bless. Jorge B.

Do you suppose the “B.” stands for Bergoglio? 😉

It’s nice to know he follows this site 😀

Reviewing the actuarial tables, it would appear that the next Pontiff will have the duty of justifying/clarifying his predecessor’s appointment. One hopes the next conclave will exercise a bit more cautious prudence than the last

Clearly, he intends to punish American Catholics not lead them to heaven. The bishop of Rome is an old bitter Peronist-jesuit.
Unworthy of respect.

The Vatican says that allowing Beijing who to choose for bishop is “keeping up with the times”.

If that is the case surely we backward Americans need to update our game.

What if President Trump informed Rome that the next Archbishop of DC is … Joseph Strickland?
