Trump Nominates Brian Burch, Founder of Catholic Vote, as Ambassador to the Holy See
- Donald R. McClarey
Donald R. McClarey
Cradle Catholic. Active in the pro-life movement since 1973. Father of three, one in Heaven, and happily married for 43 years. Small town lawyer and amateur historian. Former president of the board of directors of the local crisis pregnancy center for a decade.

How dare a Catholic who practices Catholic values and lives accordingly a doctrinally inspired Catholic life should be nominated to the ambassadorship to the [Once] Holy See.
With so many soon-to-be unemployed apostates available, one is shocked at the choice.
I can’t help but think of the scene in A Man for All Seasons in which Cardinal Wolsey and layman Thomas More sit across from each other and it obvious which loves the world, and which loves God.
Burch is no Thomas More (nor would he claim to be), but oh, to be a fly on that wall when they meet…
Wonderful 👏
Anything that ruins the day for Mike Lewis and Rich Raho is worth celebrating. 😉
What happened to Ivereigh? He used to demonstrate expectations for moral virtue.
Never heard of Rich Raho or Mike Lewis.
I should Burch would be an excellent choice. Very solid man for what I’ve seen.

A sycophant for Pope Francis would be his best job description currently. He has quite a checkered history which I will not get into.
John F, Messrs. Raho and Lewis are two of the most prolific Popesplainers on social media these days. They are to Francis what most 12 year old girls are to Taylor Swift. And I’m only slightly exaggerating.
I would have accepted the current ambassador’s retirement and left the post empty.
