Politics is all about adding people to your coalition and the Trump team understood that well in this election. The state of Pennsylvania picked a very bad time to go to war with Amish farmers over regulation. When a peaceful people simply want to be left alone, it is always a bad idea to attempt to back them into a corner.
That should have left the Amish alone.
It’s obscene what they are doing to some of the farmers and what they are going thru.
“Once your politically active maybe they’ll stop harassing you.”
Good advice barrister.
I thank you for this story. Way to go Amish!!!
The damn leftists won’t leave anyone who doesn’t fit into their ideological paradigms alone.
The corrupt Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture is to blame. However, a fish rots from the head, so the alleged “moderate” Josh “Joke” Shapiro is where the buck stops. While most Amish are in Lancaster City and County, Lancaster has become increasingly Latino…and has seen costs rise as it is on the Main Line and less than an hour from Philadelphia. The Amtrak runs from Philadelphia to Harrisburg and back several times a day on a dedicated electrified track and Lancaster has seen an increase in population. Some Amish live in Western Pennsylvania, in Mercer County (Grove City) about 60 miles north of Pittsburgh.
We have a long way to go to clean up the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Most of us just want to go to work, pay our bills, hunt, fish, hike, watch a game, enjoy the outdoors.
This election is a start. I’m hoping McCormick holds on against Senator Blob Lazey. Making some inroads in the Philly suburbs is critical.
Whenever I hear about the Amish helping Trump win PA, “Amish Paradise” by Weird Al begins to play in my head 🤣🤣🤣
Shows you don’t have to be beer buddies with the candidate to choose him. You just need him to help you where it counts. Sometimes, it’s even enough that he won’t smack you around like the other guy has.
“Amish Paradise” begins to play in my head”
But now they can party like it’s 1699…
