I saw the title of your post and immediately thought of Henry the Fift [sic].
We’re obviously on the same wavelength. Mass yesterday was offered (in part–I have quite a few intentions at the moment) in thanksgiving for our undeserved turn of fortune on Tuesday.
It is wonderful on our eyes!
I know enough Latin to nearly figure out the phrase, but without context, “not us Lord” just didn’t seem right.
OK, it makes sense now.
