This implicitly recognizes that these prosecutions were nothing but lawfare, political witch hunts that failed and now have no purpose. I hope someone sends witch hunter Jack Smith a message purportedly from the next President. “You have a head start to get out of Dodge. Make use of it.”
Trump still has the New York prosecution and the Georgia prosecution. Georgia is going nowhere slowly and I imagine plans are being made to end that bad bedroom farce. Trump is set for sentencing in the Kangaroo Court presided over by Judge Juan Merchan on November 28. My prediction is that the hearing will never be conducted and the case is effectively dead.
All the lawfare accomplished was to enhance the popularity of Trump. May this misuse of the courts die now a quick death.
And just like that…
Oh how the tables turn without warning.
That AG in NY …she really is something special still after him
NY AG James was like a zombie while delivering her comments (really threats) post election. Maybe she was in shock. James is one to watch. She is vicious.
Merchan, Engoron, James et al found jurors willing to do their bidding. Street-level Democrats are untrustworthy. Another minor scandal is the Republican blawgers who tried to make a case for these prosecutions. (Patrick Frey and Wm. Dyer, I’m looking at you).
She’s vicious. She’s also a crappy lawyer. The New York bar exam was held on at least three occasions between the time she earned her law degree and the time she was admitted. The share of those admitted to the bar who require > two attempts is < 10%. She worked as a legal aid lawyer for ten years, then landed elected offices, allowing her license to lapse. She hasn’t practiced law at all in 25 years. (Keith Ellison had a similar career in law, btw). The Republican who challenged her in 2018 was a black BigLaw partner who certainly had other things to do with his life than take a large income cut to run the attorney-general’s office. She’s what New York’s Democratic majority want. It was those types who landed spots on those wretched juries in Manhattan. People of character are a minority in New York.
The crosshairs will always be fixed on Trump.
I doubt the assassination attempts will cease.
By lawfare or Clintonesque measures, number 47
needs our prayers.
Exactly, Donald. If they had any merit, I would expect (without researching) the statutes of limitation could be tolled until he leaves office. This proves there was never a real case to begin with. Smith should be disbarred. He is a fraud.
The latest news is that the two DOJ cases are all but dead–“not to be pursued”–and Jack Smith, the Special Counsel, will be gone before the inauguration.
This morning it was reported that Judge Merchan is considering throwing out the 34 (!) convictions against Pres. Trump. He will decide within a week (according to CNN). Fani Willis will be lucky if she isn’t indicted by the end of her so-called prosecution.
