2 Corinthians 4:18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, for what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
My offering this morning at Mass is for all the brokenhearted individuals effected by the storm.
Especially those that have lost loved ones.
God’s Peace be theirs.
O Heavenly Father, merciful and compassionate, who art ever ready to hear the prayers of those who put their trust in thee; Graciously hearken to us who call upon thee, and grant to the victims of Hurricane Helene thy help in this hour of their need; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Ghost, ever one God world without end, Amen.
If I could please ask the TAC community for prayers for my nephew Sean … He lives east of Black Mountain (on high ground). Friday evening, he said the water was over his mailbox, the neighbor’s houses were submerged to the roofs, and he saw two of their houses float away … And we haven’t heard from him since.
CAG.
Absolutely. Prayers on the way for your nephew. Hold tight.
Thanks Philip!
We heard from him, he and his family are safe 🙂

I’m so happy to hear the good news about your nephew. God is so good. Some good words from one of Blesseds who taught, sacrificed and loved here in Michigan 90 plus years ago. Fr. Solanus Casey. Miracle Worker. Beatified Nov. 18th 2017.
Heavenly Father, we grieve for those who have lost their homes temporarily or permanently. Provide all who are displaced a safe place to rest tonight. Give people access to clean water, provisions for daily living, and security in where ever they reside now. Rest your loving hand on recovery efforts so that children can attend school, the vulnerable will be secure, and all people will connect with their community once again. Let all people find refuge in you. Amen.
The death toll in NC continues to climb. I am praying for all. Praying that the State of NC catches all the grifters that come to prey on victims of disaster.
Hurricane Sally in 2020 hit Pensacola and Mobile hard. My brother’s 1910 house was on a Pensacola hight point and hit by a tornado in the midst of the storm. My brother paid high premiums to his insurance company. The estimated repair bill was $55K. When it was found that the company had not paid a single claim to any of the insured, he hired a lawyer. Surprise the company went into bankruptcy. Three years later some repair money is coming from the state.
