PopeWatch: What a Kidder!

Donald R. McClarey
Cradle Catholic. Active in the pro-life movement since 1973. Father of three, one in Heaven, and happily married for 43 years. Small town lawyer and amateur historian. Former president of the board of directors of the local crisis pregnancy center for a decade.

“Francis is Pope! He can override scripture and tradition, and all past popes.”
Ah, why should I listen to him, he said so himself.
I feel embarrassed for him.
I feel embarrassed for the Church and all who believe in the true Faith. I pray daily for his salvation. For him personally, I have only the Forrest Gump motto. Stupid is as stupid does.
Perhaps Francis was allowed in order to combat (through example) the heresy that every utterance from a pope is wisdom.
Mr. McClarey,
Until this week I would get notifications in my email about new posts to The American Catholic. That has stopped for some reason.
I will have our tech wizard look at it. The tech side of our operation is always Sumerian to me.
While we’re talking tech, there seems to be no way to go back to old posts.
You did some posts on the Spanish Civil War that I’d love to read again, but there seems to be no search function.
Thanks for all you do, Don.
I second the Bruised Optimist –> thanks for all you do, Don.
There is a search function embedded with the blog, but that is not accessible to the readers. Another item on the to do list of the Tech Wizard!
Well, having Cardinals who take the faith more seriously than they do their ideological fetishes would help in that endeavor, Don.
