The debate is proof itself of the threat we are under. Unfair? Worse than that. Malicious is more like it.
I did not watch something that I knew was going to pressure test my stented cardiac arteries. Instead, I read Sirach 36:1-22.

ALMIGHTY God, who hast given us this good land for our heritage; We humbly beseech thee that we may always prove ourselves a people mindful of thy favour and glad to do thy will. Bless our land with honourable industry, sound learning, and pure manners. Save us from violence, discord, and confusion; from pride and arrogancy, and from every evil way. Defend our liberties, and fashion into one united people the multitudes brought hither out of many kindreds and tongues. Endue with the spirit of wisdom those to whom in thy Name we entrust the authority of government, that there may be justice and peace at home, and that, through obedience to thy law, we may show forth thy praise among the nations of the earth. In the time of prosperity, fill our hearts with thankfulness, and in the day of trouble, suffer not our trust in thee to fail; all which we ask through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Having agreed to the terms of microphone off, it’s obvious now the fix was in for Harris by the “moderators”. Three on one, Trump did ok. Vance or RFK would have done better. The Bull is too easy to bait.
I just hope thinking persons saw through this. (By thinking I mean those without TDS.)
I only heard a small part of the debate. In it Trump attacked Harris over her disastrous policies causing inflation. Harris responded by saying that she is not Biden or Trump, and thus has had no opportunity to implement any of her policies, then listed a bunch of policies that she apparently swears by (but had never mentioned before the debate) all of which consisted of the government giving free money to various groups (and thus would increase inflation.) The next question had the moderators outright attacking Trump, saying something like that he never had a plan to deal with any of the problems that he pointed out.
That’s all I really cared to listen to, but from the reports I’ve seen that snippet was representative: Harris reciting canned lines where she pretends that she’s had a set of great policies that everyone agrees with but which can’t be acted upon until after the election for some reason, and with the moderators attacking Trump to free Harris from looking “divisive.”
I honestly don’t know if such a thing has any impact on the election. The vote blue no matter who contingent will believe that everything that Harris said that they like was true, and that anything that they didn’t like was a lie to convince moderates to vote for her. Anyone sympathetic to Trump will immediately notice how the format of the debate was hostile to him. I think people who are somehow undecided will pick up on how fake Harris’s responses were, and if they were paying attention they knew Trump’s attitudes before the debate. But most of them probably didn’t watch the debate in the first place.
My impression is that they’ve got Trump’s number, so to speak. I know he is touted as strong and unpredictable, but the way in which he seems to be so easily manipulated by flattery and favors (probably the one true thing Harris said, lol) and so easily baited contradicts such an assessment, He looked weak and came across as someone who could only gripe about the way things are (or were) instead of offering a vision for the future or any tangible alternative. His closing statement was probably his best moment, but even then he mostly gave reasons against his opponent rather than for himself.
If I went back and rewatched it (I certainly won’t…) there might be more nuance to this assessment, but that’s the impression I was left with which, if we’re honest, is what really matters since it’s what sticks with the viewer. The really pathetic thing is that Harris explicitly stated what her strategy was going to be for the debate in the opening statement, and he walked right into it. I don’t know how much this debate matters-probably not much- but he lost a much needed opportunity to define her by forcing the conversation to always be about substantial policy.
Then it could have been about him making her into an unpalatable choice for anyone not already in the death cult, but instead he let her make it about himself, which is always a loser for him.
Don’t know how anyone should have expected anything different. Big question is whether the Trump campaign learned anything about how to proceed now. The challenge is that dems are exceptionally convincing at lying and Republicans exceptionally inept at getting the relevant points across to an audience that prefers pablum to hard facts. Interesting times (Chinese version) ahead.
Opportunity exists right now.
Expose the lies and air them asap on 60 sec clips..the lies or disinformation she brazenly told from the podium of last night’s debate.
For example;
The clip you furnished from Springfield Ohio.
The third citizen gave a great speech to the council. Intertwine the two comments, Harris and the citizen giving her moving testimony.
Late term abortions?
There are numerous accounts of babies being left to die alone after a botched abortion. Put that information out there with Kammies pitiful no no no shaking of her head.
Just some thoughts.
Frol Lozier Inst.
In an undercover video released in April 2013, a D.C. abortionist admitted he would not intervene to save an abortion survivor. When asked about a baby being born alive during an attempted abortion, he said, “usually, at this point in your pregnancy, it’s too early to survive, usually. It will expire shortly after birth…it’s all in how vigorously you do things to help a fetus survive at this point.” Later he said, “we would not help it [the baby]. Let’s say. We wouldn’t—we wouldn’t—uh, intubate, let’s say.”
In another undercover video released in March 2017, a former Planned Parenthood medical director said that in order to determine whether to provide medical intervention for these babies, “You need to pay attention to who’s in the room.”
A Planned Parenthood lobbyist in 2013 opposed the Infants Born Alive Act in Florida, saying, “We believe that, you know, any decision that’s made should be left up to the woman, her family, and the physician.” Abortion advocates leapt to the lobbyist’s defense, targeting the Infants Born Alive Act’s “fundamentally flawed assumption that this type of situation is a real risk” and asserting that born-alive infants were “incredibly unlikely.” However, since 2013 when the Act was signed into law, 42 babies have been born alive during abortions in Florida.
In a 2019 interview with WTOP in Washington, D.C., in which he endorsed a permissive late-term abortion bill, Virginia Governor Ralph Northam dismissed concerns about abortions performed while a woman is giving birth, explaining, “The infant would be delivered; the infant would be kept comfortable; the infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desire, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother.”
Abortion survivor Melissa Ohden testified to the House Judiciary Committee in 2015, “You wouldn’t know it by looking at me today, but in August of 1977, I survived a failed saline infusion abortion…. I know where children like me were left to die at St. Luke’s Hospital—a utility closet. In 2014, I met a nurse who assisted in a saline infusion abortion there in 1976, and delivered a living baby boy. After he was delivered alive, she followed her superior’s orders and placed him in the utility closet in a bucket of formaldehyde to be picked up later as medical waste after he died there, alone.
….and then there is Gianna. I met her. Incredible story, 2 months premature and a survivor of a botched saline abortion.
I like to see her with Trump in an ad.

I wat to add that you don’t jump into the lair of snakes and debate cobras. Democrats – including the Democrat news media – are utterly evil. You don’t dialogue with them at all. I think that Trump debating that evil woman in a forum hosted by liberal Democrat news media was a big mistake.
He had no control. Prayer needed more than ever that he prevails. That’s one thing he has that that liar Harris doesn’t have.
Philip – thanks for sharing the story about Melissa and Gianna. You must read about Dr Joanne Howe and what she is doing for survivors of abortion (and how the left came after her). She has prevailed- with the Grace of God, so far.
On this Friday the 13th, here is my nightmare of August 1, 2019 for your consideration. I am surely taking a massive risk by posting this, and my other posts of this morning, but we are nearing the point of no return as a nation.
I was gloating, uncontrollably against my better judgment as observer, as a visitor to my leftist junior high social studies teacher, in front of her new students, about the policy successes of the 45th president. The teacher, to no one’s surprise, vehemently admonished me, but in an odd way that suggested she knew her side would come out ahead and that it would be specifically to my detriment. In the hallway on the way out of the school, to my shock, I was blocked by a HINDU-LIKE ELEPHANT GODDESS, with an unmistakable sense it was a (but not “the”) devil, being carried on a platform by a TALL DEFORMED HORSE-LIKE CREATURE, male, hairless, and pasty-white, visually suggestive of Frankenstein’s monster while acting the part of Igor. Knowing this entity was unmitigated evil, fight-or-flight took hold of me. The first time, I attempted to punch her, and was SUCKED IN by my arm, forcing me awake. On my next time asleep, I was back in the hallway and encountered them again. This time I attempted to run and was SUCKED IN by her from behind, again forcing me awake. I made my best efforts to prevent myself from returning to that place a third time, so how to leave from it safely remained a mystery. For a long time in 2020-21, I believed the demon to be a generic representation of COVID-19, which erased every success of the prior three years, and its irresistible mRNA “vaccines” that the 45th president unwisely touted and his successors forced upon 70 percent of the population, and perhaps it is, though the identity of the assistant was elusive – Fauci, after all, is no giant! However, since Harris became the 2024 nominee and Walz her running mate, it is now obvious to me, and should be to you, who these entities represent. Why an elephant rather than a donkey? Two words – Cheney endorsement.
I am sorry to say that the 45th president was also SUCKED IN, once in each way, by “running” and deferring control of the country to Fauci and Birx in 2020, and by “punching” back at Harris’ irrelevant taunts this past Tuesday. For the sake of the country, he needs to find that successful third response that was not revealed to me in the nightmare. Perhaps the theologians among us may have it.
Allegedly, an ABC whistleblower is coming forward that is claiming that ABC management essentially gave all the questions in advance to the Harris campaign, and also assured the campaign that Trump would be fake-checked (fact-checked, for some) but Harris would not be.
Haven’t seen confirmation yet.
