He better stay out of Springfield Ohio.
Wearing that headgear in town could cost him his life. Poodle, parrot, Pope….it’s all on the menu.

Easy to explain. The Pope’s new hobby is flying fishing, and you know they always wear those silly hats decorated with their favorite patterns.

Not sure Francis can legally
get the bird feather helmet past Italian and Vatican City customs. When in the Philippines I made my boys Maori costumes for Halloween. I found monkey headresses in the market, They consisted of an embroidered headband, bird feathers and a monkey skull. When we packed out they were included in boxes with the rest of the boys clothes. Nowadays any wildlife parts if declared would be confiscated.
I hope the Pope didn’t get bird lice from the headress. We may never know unless the Vatican posts his latest exam.

It’s axiomatic for public figures that “you don’t put things on your head.” Some public figures haven’t ever gotten that memo.

And we had to retire the papal tiara?

Perhaps it was too plain? 🤣

@RSteele: Amen! The image of Michael Dukakis in a tanker’s helmet will live forever in political infamy. 😂

In all seriousness PNG is an economic battleground between China and the West in the Pacific. The Catholics (and Christians there) need support on all fronts. Who cares about the headgear. Really.
