Too Silly For Words

Actually he reminds me of alcoholics I have represented.  That condition tends to age you.  At 60 he looks at least 70.  He looks older than Trump at 78.  When he was announced, I was surprised to learn he was only 60.  The idea that Minnesota Mao is some avatar of masculinity goes beyond the normal stupidity of campaign season.  Wish casting is almost always an exercise in futility as seen by the Democrats attempting to make fetch happen in regard to Walz.

Unfortunately, it seems to be working. My liberal friends are talking about the “joyous and masculine” ticket that will take down the Bad Orange Man. It is simultaneously perplexing, amusing, and terrifying.

He was prematurely aged 20 years ago. He looks like a contemporary of Bernie Sanders (age 83) and only a tad younger than Gary Hart (age 87). Again, I don’t understand why the military’s up-or-out system did not send him back to civilian life. If he is an alcoholic, Regime media will conceal it as much as they can.

Walz is the issue of the teachers’ college – school apparat – teachers’ union milieu and I think if you took an inventory you’d discover that he has the standard-issue opinions and modes of thought of such a person. The Democratic Party is the electoral vehicle for an array of subcultures and occupational guilds, and that one’s the most numerous.

Regarding Kamala’s supposedly “joyous” ticket: apparently she, or her advisers, have no concept of the difference between joy and flippancy that C.S. Lewis’s Screwtape explains so well.

Screwtape explains that there are four basic reasons why humans laugh: joy (which Screwtape considers “disgusting” and “an affront to the dignity of Hell”), fun (very little use to “Our Father Below”, except as a temporary distraction from other duties), jokes/humor (sometimes useful, but more often not), and, finally, flippancy — treating everything as a joke or a cause for laughter:

“Flippancy is the best of all. In the first place it is very economical. Only a clever human can make a real Joke about virtue, or indeed about anything else; any of them can be trained to talk as if virtue were funny. Among flippant people the Joke is always assumed to have been made. No one actually makes it; but every serious subject is discussed in a manner which implies that they have already found a ridiculous side to it. If prolonged, the habit of Flippancy builds up around a man the finest armour plating against the Enemy that I know, and it is quite free from the dangers inherent in the other sources of laughter. It is a thousand miles away from joy; it deadens, instead of sharpening, the intellect; and it excites no affection between those who practise it.”

Don,

They absolutely are parroting and yes, they would vote for Hitler, Stalin, or Satan if any of them had a D next to their names.

And they all hate talking politics with me mostly because I was one of them in my younger days, but I escaped the plantation/cult in my early 20’s. I generally stopped the conversations with them because it is usually nothing but projection, subject changing, and ad hominem. Pathetic, to be sure.

I’m continually amazed by the Harris campaign’s (and Dems in general) ability to make accusations that are so obviously untrue with a straight face. Particularly accusations like this which apply better to most liberals.

I’ve seen the “masculinity” claim recently. I think they mean doughy carpool dad.

This is the fakest election run up I’ve seen in my lifetime. Reporters have abandoned all pretense of objectivity and are just repeating the dem party line.

Online you see target control of certain comment sections. You can tell which they are because they are the places where you will see Walz praised as a normal, masculine, working Joe in contrast to the weird Republicans, and Kamala as the most talented and accomplished nominee ever. If you go to places that have historically had leftist discussion they of course will be supporting the Walz ticket; but their conversations will certain around how evil Trump is and how they would literally vote for anyone. Very little enthusiasm for Walz, and the little that exists is due to his radical policies (like his support of transgenderism.) Thus when I see that the top 20 comments on a page are all talking about what a stand up guy Walz is, I can only conclude that these were made by paid shills (after all, we know that the dems use paid shills.)

Thank God for Alcoholics Anonymous! At 66 years old, I no longer look like that!
