Go here to read the post. This is correct. I tried it this afternoon. As far as Google search suggestions go, the attempted Trump assassination never occurred. Blatant attempt to manipulate the election.

This Omission by Google is only one of the reasons that people are pissed off at the way things are running in our country. Do you want Trump to win the presidency? Then keep this s*** up.
I’m getting search results on Google.
Google is state media, of course. That a character like Tyler Cowan makes excuses for that should cost you any respect you had for the Mercatus Center and their crew of poseur libertarians.
Right after the Trump assassination attempt:
Rest assured, although any other shooting would have been discussed for days on end, the Trump assassination attempt has been memory holed.
Only a right wing extremist would bring up that the Gov would have to have been totally incompetent or it was an inside job. Let alone that the Gov should be I think guilty until proven innocent after all other attempts to destroy, bankrupt and imprison the man failed.
Google is too powerful. Your VP Candidate wants to break it up. Good idea.
On another note- we used to use Google Ads for our business website for SEO. Google have no one you can speak with if an issue occurs. And if they pause your Ads through an unknown error, then put in a ticket and hope for the best. They are way too powerful.

Art, it’s not the search results being questioned. It’s that if I type “assassination attempt on” it will suggest searches for other assassination attempts, but not the one on Trump. Even “assassination attempt on trum” doesn’t suggest it.
They might try to claim that they’re trying not to encourage people to do it, but given their biased history, I wouldn’t buy it.
One of the characteristics of fascism is that powerful corporations, while not directly owned by the government, still do their bidding.
A while ago there were leaks from Google that proved that they mess with search results. The leak came from just before Ireland voted on whether to legalize abortion, and the suppressed results were mainly pro-life sites, particularly those in Ireland.
Something strange about the leaks was that they also showed that Google was burying dozens of Yu-Gi-Oh! sites, despite that game having no political importance. My guess was always that a Google employee in charge of messing with the results was a staunch Magic: The Gathering fan who simply took the opportunity to mess with the rival game. The implication being that while some of Google’s manipulation was company policy, other parts of it came down to whims of random employees.
Of course, now I’m sure that we have ChatGPT screwing with search terms on top of all that.
