Well yes agree – read the international media. Even Daily Mail tabloid junk is better than most.
It’s better than CNN or ABC who report “possible shots reported” or “possible noises” or “loud noises startle Trump..” or “Secret Service rushes Trump off stage as he falls…” or this is the best : “Trump speech interrupted by Secret Service”.
But the one which took the cake was the “news” which initially reported that Trump was hit by glass from a shattered teleprompter. Not shot. Anything but to say it was an assassination attempt. Of course the TV host in Australia deemed it ridiculous when interviewing the Australian correspondent based in the US…

It appears tentatively that two people suffered severe injuries and one person was killed. Have to wait about 72 hours for the details to shake out. Prayers.

I take issue with the statement that Trump “cowered.” Repeated twice. Really? All those guys who ducked down in trenches while being fired at, or jumped into foxholes, were cowering?
Cowered was a poor choice of words, especially with Trump physically held down by the Secret Service, but the rest of the account is accurate.
My eyebrow is never going to be the same after reading all of these “I’m so relieved that the person I have spent years calling an extinction-level-event for our democracy is ok” statements.
You will not have it both ways, ladies and gentlemen.
From what I’ve heard Trump turning his head made a big difference in the outcome. Several media stories had the security detail taking Trump down to the deck. All the videos that I have seen have had Trump reaching for his ear and then bending down with no visible evidence of people assisting him before he was already on his way to hitting the deck. I’ve watched the video multiple times from different angles with Trump heading for the deck before the security detail went in to provide protective cover. Am I missing anything?
I am not excited that Biden has asked the FBI (very corrupt & leadership hates Trump) & the US Secret Service (increasingly incompetent/corrupt-in its actions actions) are going to do “independent” reviews of various aspects of their own failures. 🤬🤬
Only the Catholic News Agency carried the story about a Ukranian Catholic pastor, Rev Jason Charron, who prayed the Benediction at the rally minutes before the first shot. The prayer was for President Trump and his safety saying that “people had to pray too because there are people who want to kill him.”
The Trump campaign had asked the priest to participate weeks earlier. Rev. Charron met briefly with Trump before the rally. They discussed the Ukraine.
They are better than CNN that said he fell!
I liked their interview w the guy w the Trump hat and orange hair who said they saw the shooter.
Things don’t add up. I would like to think incompetence
Icefalcon, there was one time when the word “cowered” was extremely apt, but I don’t think anyone used it: when Congress “people” ducked down beneath their chairs because of “loud banging sounds” coming from the J6ers pounding on the doors from outside. They were a pitiful sight. There was another photograph of some Congresscritter with a full-on plexiglass face shield running down the corridor, away from the “loud noises.” Now that was some genuine, world-class cowering.
