Intense prayers they will receive.

The disordered are guided by a spirit that is no match for the Holy Spirit. Light is not overcome by darkness.

An orderly and sane Pope will one day brush off the debris that has been accumulating since 2013.

Patience.
Perseverance.
Faith!

This slow creep of a shadows, this confusion, this disparage of Tradition, this anxiety over the loss of TLM, this envy over young persons filling the pews, this chastisement of faithful priests, this promotion of LGBTQ, this meanness…. it cannot be from God.
And therefore this all shall pass.

And the Bergoglio Schism creeps ever closer to full-blown reality. I believe it is already a schism de facto. Very soon, I fear, it will be de jure as well.

As I read the comments I sense agreement as to the problem, but disparity as to how to deal with it–fear or faith. The voices in my head shout, oh yea of little faith, we’ve been though this before. But then, another voice whispers, but today is not like before. Today, as never before, only a small portion of Catholics bother to attend Mass. These are indeed times that demand prayer as never before.

Here’s an interesting perspective: Michael Lofton, host of the Reason & Theology channel on You Tube, says that Pope Francis just met with the head of the ICKSP and explicitly encouraged them to continue “following their charism”, which includes preservation of the Latin Mass.

Some commenters speculate that Pope Francis will permit the TLM to be offered by religious orders/institutes specifically devoted to it, but not by diocesan priests or parishes. While that would be further restriction of TLM availability it would not be exactly a total “ban”.

Elaine, et al.,
According to The Remnant, the document to be issued will be an Apostolic Constitution (you know, to give it more weight). Tentative title: Satanas petivit vos (Luke 22:31)–I made that part up.

Only the institutes of religious life (FSSP, ICKSP, SVF, et al.) will be allowed to continue to celebrate the Mass. The other Sacraments? Not clear.

Bishops and diocesan priests will be prohibited from celebrating the old rite.

The Novus Ordo will be reaffirmed as the “sole expression of the Latin Rite”–again with that idiotic assertion! It’s not even true within the Novus Ordo, for crying out loud.

Let’s imitate the “Catholic Kings” (Ferdinand and Isabella) when they were confronted with the corruption of the Borgia papacy and pray for an end to these evils, even if there is only way to make them cease.

Lofton’s perspective is, as always, maximum papalism.

The pontiff said some nice things to Monsignor Wach (whom I have had the honor to meet). But he said them while having a right hand man in America (Cupich) who has forbidden the Chicago headquarters of the Institute to offer sacraments to the public. The Institute’s head priest in America is frequently in Detroit because he can’t celebrate Mass publicly otherwise.

OK, so the Latin Mass will be banned outside of the old Ecclesia Dei communities. The latter can be banned with the stroke of a pen by the local bishop.

What bishop is going to invite them in when the pontiff has said that worship at the TLM is the equivalent of schismatic poison for regular diocesan Catholics? And the pope’s nuncios are going to select as bishops company men who think the same way as Cupich.

The clock is ticking for the FSSP, Institute, etc., too. They will be restricted to occasional TLMs mixed with NOs, no other traditional sacraments, and then overt time be forced to wind down. The logic of re-educating TLM Catholics to effectively idolize the NO admits of no other conclusion.

I am surprised that similar attempts to squelch the anglican ordinariate usage have not been made. Perhaps because there are fewer adherents? Or, possibly if there had been attempts, the congregations would have rebelled and left the Church.
