Meanwhile, Back in Australia

Ha! On point.

Firstly, his late father Steve had enough sense not to peddle liberal crap. Unfortunately, Terry Irwin (his American mother or “momager”) exerts strong influence over the Irwin brand, including Robert and Bindi, and has basically exiled Bob Irwin (Steve’s father who started the Zoo with his son) from Australia Zoo. It’s a shame really, because he Steve was his fathers son in so many way. Terry, not surprisingly, struggles to get enough donors to keep the upkeep costs going of the Zoo every year.

Secondly, Pauline Hanson is a big personality. The woman has done it all- from running a fish and chip shop to being sued, to serving jail time. I agree with her politics however much of it is bark with no bite. She can be her own worst enemy. The good thing about her is she cuts through the crap.

Thirdly, Queensland is a basket-case. Besides Victoria, I can’t even begin to imagine the level of corruption and financial “mismanagement” by the current Labor administration. The previous administration – Palaszczuk is a prime example. That woman managed to get re-election even though she shut the borders of Queensland during Covid because she ran a fear-mongering campaign around Covid which appealed to the retirees in sunny Queensland. The current Premier, Steven Miles is not the sharpest tool in the shed. He is goose- to out it nicely. Probably dropped at birth.

Queenslands biggest problem at the moment is definitely youth crime and unemployment in the country towns. Queensland is the food bowl of Australia and the fact that wind-farms are popping up because of opportunists who see $$$ to be made through the other fear-mongering issue -Climate Change- is worrying. I don’t want my food to eventually come from abroad.

I would say Queensland at the moment is sort of like…hmm…California (maybe) but without Hollywood. 😂

The only politics wilder than American politics is Aussie politics!. Couldn’t agree more.

A far cry from the lone country in the South Pacific that stood against Japan until the US could rearm to get into the fray. The image of virile and self reliance appears to be disappearing about as fast as the Koala.
