This is after two polls show the Virginia race a toss up. Minnesota and New Hampshire are also close races according to polls. Trump is turning blue states into battleground states. A recent poll showed him only four behind in Illinois. This forces the Democrats into spending money on states which should be theirs by default. The lawfare against Trump may be the biggest political blunder since William Jennings Bryan gave his Cross of Gold speech at the Democrat convention in 1896.

Where did you find the poll for Illinois? If Trump is only 4 points behind here, and that poll is anywhere near accurate, he’s got to be ahead in other blue states and could be headed for a Reaganesque landslide.
I read about the poll Elaine, but I have been unable to find it. In April there was a Zogby poll which showed Biden ahead three points in Illinois if running against Kennedy. It is possible that the four pointer is an internal poll but, like Zogby polls, those should be treated with extreme skepticism. For obvious reasons, the presidential race in Illinois has been the subject of few public polls.
A lot of those states in gray look awfully familiar, and not in a good way.
This is where the utter failure to do anything about what happened four years ago comes back to bite us.
Actually legislation has been passed in many of those states to make cheating much harder.
I wonder about some of what makes up the RCP average. To call Texas as only leaning to Trump seems like Democrats in wishful thinking mode. Nevertheless, a good overall picture, it seems.
Minnesota and Michigan are definitely off the map due to fraud. (Minnesota got in early with the Al Franken disaster and has only been upping its game since then.) I can buy the rest of the gray states being up for grabs though.
Actually legislation has been passed in many of those states to make cheating much harder.
Legislation has been passed in Georgia to make cheating much harder. Wisconsin’s state supreme court eventually got around to ruling that some of what was done in 2020 was unconsitutional, and shouldn’t have been done. (Said court flipped leftist last year, so it would be a major surprise if those rulings are not overturned in time for the general elections.)
Meanwhile, Michigan and Pennsylvania have openly doubled down on the fraud, and after the fiascoes of 2022, little need be said about Arizona and Nevada.
Wisconsin passed a constitutional amendment banning the use of private funds in election administration which stops the use of Zuck bucks, a major win. Nevada elected a Republican governor in 2022 in a close election, so I am unsure what you are referring to. Arizona will have on the ballot a GOP sponsored anti-fraud measure which should drive up GOP votes. In regard to Pennsylvania the Third Circuit recently upheld the requirement that absentee ballots must be dated on the outside of the envelope by the voter, a requirement fought very hard by the usual suspects.
Déjà vu. I still can’t figure out how, after 3 1/2 years of this disastrous presidency, the election is in many regards, almost a tossup.
But then, I have to remember that after the disastrous Carter presidency, Reagan won nationally by only 10 points (some accounts say 8pts).
It is a measure of the great capacity of the media and the Disinformation Party to bamboozle many.

Yates is in the fight… thank God;
