PopeWatch: The Future Belongs to Those Who Show Up
- Donald R. McClarey
Donald R. McClarey
Cradle Catholic. Active in the pro-life movement since 1973. Father of three, one in Heaven, and happily married for 43 years. Small town lawyer and amateur historian. Former president of the board of directors of the local crisis pregnancy center for a decade.

I have seen first hand how the older generation of clergy are grasping power and control with a Kung Fu grip. It is unsurprising in the slightest yet sad.
However, the polling (I know it is Germany, but still…) reflects every bit of anecdotal evidence I’ve seen here that we can be cautiously optimistic that the will of God for his servants and Church will be done.
He who seeks to relevant in his own time will quickly become passe when the times change. Conversely, if he stuck to truth, at least he’d have integrity. Just ask Keri Lake.
The Future Belongs to those that Show Up
My favourite Donald McClarey quote.
Would seem that Zelig played by Woody Allen was right.
I love how they describe selling out t o the ruler of this world, the father of lies himself, as “creatively opening up the Church and contemporary society to each other.”
Screwtape, call your office. You have a scribe in waiting.
