In the Peoria Diocese the plan to close parishes is called Growing Disciples. The gaslighting and mendacity never ceases. Catholics should be able to look to the Church for truth, but the men who misrule the Church make sure that is a forlorn hope.

Archbishop Fulton Sheen saw this period of time.
The 500 year cycle where Christendom seems to be on it’s last leg but things aren’t always what they seem. A resurgence of holiness, courage and gains for Holy Catholic Church conquers that darkness, overcoming it with renewed Faith and Hope.
Now we can say ‘aye’ and bring more souls to Christ. Growing disciples the old fashion way… Truth leading the Way

CLI strikes again! This is supposed to help with evangelization too! We in the archdiocese of St. Louis are going through this right now- parishes and schools closed, canon law violated, appeals to Rome being heard with a relatively simple 50/50 rate of success so far. Our current Archbishop is the fool who, during the Wuhan flu nonsense and when he was j. Springfield, MA, was going to allow hospital staff to administer the Last Rites. Even his home diocese of Baltimore is doing this, with his childhood parish on the closing list. No one will listen to the laity so get a damned good canon lawyer now
To paraphrase a saint, they can sell off the buildings but only we can sell out the Church.
Whether they call it Renew & Rebuild or Sack & Pillage is inconsequential. Wherever the Mass is truly offered, I will be there with Him, whether it is a cathedral, a barn, or a cornfield.
Roman emperors tried to kill the Church. They failed. These latter day persecutors will fare no better.
Why? Christ is King.
