Now for the Ayatollah.
It was a 45 year old Canadian helicopter.
It wasn’t us…
Right….
It was a 45 year old Canadian helicopter.
Yes – and Western sanction prevent spare parts from entering the country if the helicopter requires maintenance. Add to the mix the bad weather and that helicopters have a reputation for being risky modes of transportation…I wouldn’t be surprised if it had nothing to do with Israel and just a case of bad luck (and Gods justice).
Could be, but that is not the assumption that the leaders of Iran will likely state, at least publicly.
Gee, that was a nice president ya had there, Iran. Too bad.
Official Iran has already said it was fog. They have their reasons as almost any other explanation might require a response that they are not prepared to make.
Donald:
Or admit a penetration of their defenses that deep.
Newsweek: “The U.S.-made Bell 212 is the civilian counterpart to a Vietnam-era UH-1N “Twin Huey” helicopter and was likely purchased by Iran during the rule of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi.
Bell 212s are flown by organizations across the world, and the helicopter is known for its longevity.”
“However, questions have been raised about whether the one Raisi was in was too old and not properly maintained. Because of international sanctions, Iran repairs its own aircraft through smuggling parts and reverse-engineering.”
“Raisi’s helicopter was one of three traveling in formation* but was the only one to make a “hard landing.” The other two helicopters safely reached their destination.”
“One X account run by a Pakistan-based open-source intelligence team said that the helicopter should not have been flown in these conditions.”

My husband is a retired US Navy helicopter pilot, Navy test pilot and an experimental test pilot. He said the Bell 212 is a good helo with twin jet engines. He surmised that If the fog in the mountains was a thick as described the pilots of the three helos had no business flying in that IFR weather, especially over mountains.
Of course Iranian government officials are not know for their truthfulness. More will be revealed.
*HMX-1 is the USMC helo squadron that flies US presidents. There are always three helicopters in formation when our president is being transported.
Begging forgiveness in advance
CAG.
It’s ok.
The goat was heard saying something about shedding light…. maybe I’m because of the fog;
Goat;
“O Allah, forgive this leader and elevate his station among those who are guided. Send him along the path of those who came before, and forgive us and him, O Lord of the worlds. Enlarge for him his grave and shed light upon him in it”
Goats are very… spiritual… but not religious, mind you. They like the left for some reason.
