Saint Joseph, terror of Demons, patron saint of all strong and silent Dads. I have always thought, in human terms, that much of the homely language Christ used in his Parables was from conversations he listened to while growing up, of Saint Joseph and his customers in Saint Joseph’s carpentry shop. He became one of us in all things but sin, and dwelt among us. Next to Mary, it is Joseph who doubtless was the major human influence on Jesus.
