Outrage routed, this time, the forces of wokeness.
The wild joy at VJ Day meant that no more American boys had to go over seas to fight and die, and that those who lived and were overseas would be returning home soon. The sailor in the famous picture had his girlfriend along with him, his future wife, as he randomly kissed women, and she gleefully joined in the fun. Our degraded times are alienated from honest emotion, patriotism and the differences between men and women that add so much to the joy of life. The attempt to banish this iconic picture to appease the gods demons of wokeness is as sadly symbolic of 2024 as The Kiss was of the better days than these of 1945.
Can we have the name of the official responsible for this travesty?
