When a person acknowledges his creation in original innocence, then one can see how far this person has fallen from grace. Repentance is a gift from God. Embrace repentance joyfully.

Amen, Donald. Faithful observance of Lent literally saves souls, according to many Saints and Doctors of the Church. We have mostly lost the sense of penance, at least outside of places like SSPX chapels and FSSP parishes, though I’m told it still lives strongly in the Eastern Catholic churches, where tradition is not so greatly feared by the hierarchy. Pray, fast, give alms, and thank Our Lord for giving us so many chances! I certainly need them.
