A first rate documentary on the making of Battleground (1949), a rousing tribute to the heroic stand of the 101st at Bastogne. The most realistic film of combat up to that time, with absolutely no Hollywood nonsense in it. Veterans of the battle participated from first to last, with most of the professional actors being veterans of the War.
I’ve been living under a rock i suppose.
This is the first time that I’ve heard of the movie.
