“No one in the world can change Truth. What we can do and should do is to seek truth and to serve it when we have found it. The real conflict is the inner conflict. Beyond armies of occupation and the hecatombs [e.g. the sacrifice of many victims] of extermination camps, there are two irreconcilable enemies in the depth of every soul: good and evil, sin and love. And what use are the victories on the battlefield if we ourselves are defeated in our innermost personal selves?”

-St. Maximilian Kolbe

The inner conflict.
Amen.

The idea that you can help in converting individuals who now are steep in their convictions to build the ultimate utopia via communism is a grandiose goal. God can do anything.
Is this what motivates Pope Francis?

Should the Catholic Church of 1937-38 have been sympathetic to the ideals of the Germany National Socialists movement?

In China, the sympathies are tangible. The State, not the Holy Catholic Church, selects who shall be Bishop.

Is this the fruit from the dialogue PF had with China a few years back.

Rotten fruit doesn’t nourish the body of Christ.

Supporting the underground Church to the fullest extent and resisting the the ploys to undermine the Truth would seem to me to be the most profitable means of nourishing the Chinese Catholics.

One caveat.
I’m not worried about being hauled off to jail because I was found participating at a Mass that the State has forbidden.
May those who suffer greatly for the faith receive our prayers and sacrifices.

St Pope JP II, pray for Pope Francis and for Our Holy Catholic Church.

Is there truly no way to throw this fellow from the Chair and try him for heresy?

PF is truly a gift to the Church, just about everything he does is Not, or an example of Not.
A dramatic end to felt banners and 60’s nonsense.
A demise of situational ethics.
A return to sexual ethics.
A boon for Latin Mass.

Dialogue over Truth as much as you like. It’s actually good to do so, not because it can change Truth, but because it can change you.

Searching for a treasure does not change the location or substance of the treasure, but the challenges of the search often change the treasure seeker.

Whether it changes you for better or worse largely depends on you.

What did you sacrifice to seek it? Who were your companions during the search? How did you treat those who were obstacles to your search? Whose advice did you heed?

I think that Francis’s answers to these questions probably would not even satisfy him, poor man.

Christians dialoguing with Marxists regarding a common social ethic is a bit like a mouse dialoguing with a snake regarding what to have for dinner.

It would seem that Franco was a good bit more merciful in victory that would have been the opposition if they were the victors.

With all the questionable goings on in the Vatican finances, shouldn’t the Vatican be working on its own problems to establish its competency to speak?

Atheistic communism denies “their Creator”, God, the individual’s immortal, rational soul. Atheistic communism denies his sovereign personhood, his life, liberty and the freedom to pursue his happiness. Atheistic communism plagiarizes Utopia, the Garden of Eden before original sin. Atheistic communism has eradicated original sin, therefore, all things are go for them and against us, who believe in God, freedom and original innocence before original sin.
Only the Immaculate Conception, Mary can intervene for her perpetual virginity and innocence cannot be denied, not now or ever.
Dialogue never works since what we say and what the communists hear are always at odds.
The atheistic communist school teacher told his students to call their Jesus. Jesus came through the door. The teacher went insane. Dialogue with the insane hardly ever works.

What a groovy idea, Francis! And as long as you want the Church to ‘dialogue’ with busted, worthless, misery-spreading, immoral political systems… then I assume next up is a dialogue with fascism? After all, I hear they made the trains run on time.

Truly, it seems to me the only people Francis refuses to ‘dialog’ with are: 1) those who hold fast to the Church’s immemorial teachings and 2) anyone who wants to see a meaningful, transparent audit and reform of Vatican finances.

Every week we see in the Mission bulletin a Mass intention for Unity. I cannot see unity with the Democrats, Leftists and Marxists. The picture of the exhumed bodies of the Spanish nuns is a good reminder. We’ve seen in the US the footage of the destructive riots the last few years.
Pope Francis is a foolish man. If Italy ever went for real Communist he would probably be at the top of the list to be dispatched when he is no longer useful to the new regime..

Amen, CAM. He seems to be the perfect example of what Lenin reportedly described as “useful idiots.” And they always think they will be eaten last.

Speaking of U.I.’s, I can’t help but wonder what might have been, had Paul VI not capitulated to the pro-Soviet lobby and approved the failure of the documents of The Council™️ to contain any condemnation of communism or socialism as contrary to Church doctrine. Would there be less overt sucking up to communists by this pope and his Liberation Theology pals, had a definitive statement been made? Sadly, we’ll never know. Heckuva job, Montini. Heckuva job.
