Dune 1984 Open Thread

Clan McClarey, as usual, watched Dune (1984) in the run up to midnight on New Year’s Eve.  Hard to believe that it will soon be forty years since it was released.

We can recite many passages by heart, a true mixed blessing!  The usual Open Thread rules apply.  Be concise, be charitable and, above all, be amusing.

I am absolutely devastated that there is no Dune Muppets movie. The question is what roles would be human or muppet, and who is best for these roles? Something tells me William Dafoe would be great with the Muppets. Who would he be though? I’m thinking Baron Harkonnen. For some reason Fozzie appeals to me as the Emperor, with Kermit as Duke Atreides.

I do think Paul Atriedes has to be a human though.

No self respecting human being would harm chidren, God’s precious children.
Consumers of child sexual predation consider their rape of minor citizens and five year old infants as a special gift and wonderful edification inflicted upon their victims.
Since the Lindberg baby was kidnapped and murdered, the kidnapping of children has carried the death penalty, the death penalty having been erroneously removed from legal use, there is no way to address such heinous behavior; Megan Kanka, Divina Genao, Amanda Wengert and Eddie Werner come to mind.
After watching The Sound of Freedom twice yesterday. I wanted to send child sexual abusers to hell but this would be an offense against God, “their Creator”. King Herod, baby killer rotted while alive; the worms ate Herod. I wish and pray for Herod’s worms to eat every child sexual abuser on earth.

Two ranchers burned a fire break to protect their ranch from fire on the adjacent Federal, that is, government owned and managed land. Obama sent the two ranchers to prison for five years for destroying government land. Trump pardoned the two ranchers for trying to save their property. Biden imprisoned the two ranchers to finish their five year term in prison.
Attorney General Merrick Garland has pledged to remove the Second and the Eighth Amendments.
Any change to our Constitution may be made with the vote of two thirds of the states.
The Second Amendment addresses self-defense. The Eighth Amendment addresses cruel and unusual punishment.
The two ranchers were sentenced to five years in prison for defending themselves and their property from unmanaged fire on the government owned and managed land.
Civil rights are endowed by “their Creator” not the government. Whoever says differently is not a citizen, his citizenship destroyed and forfeited by his denial of our Founding Principles.
From the bowels of communism and the archipelago, Merrick Garland does not own two thirds of the states’ vote. And since each and every citizen owns all the free lands and waterways in joint and common tenancy in America, the two ranchers had every right, civil, legal and Constitutional to burn a fire break on government badly managed land, something the government land management ougth to have done. Government ought to have given the two ranchers a reward for doing their work, instead of punishing the ranchers for showing the government land management up as negligent.

Our Declaration of Independence says that “all men are created equal by their Creator”; “all men are created equal by their Creator” in virginity and original innocence. The Blessed Virgin Mary desired to have her virginity and original innocence in perpetuity. Perpetual virginity and original innocence was granted to Mary by her Creator and Mary became the Immaculate Conception. The Immaculate Conception destroys the myth that human beings come to life at five months at quickening, when the child begins to move in the womb, a falsehood held by Thomas Aquinas and for hundreds of years until the Immaculate Conception.
Mary, ever virgin and completely immaculate never left the presence of God.
All mankind too, created in virginity and original innocence can reconstitute our virginity and our original innocence through the power of the Catholic Church’s Sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Eucharist.
What have we got to lose except our sin?

In the still of the early morning before the school buses and trucks begin to rumble past the house, I thank God for The American Catholic, Donald McClarey and Open Thread.
