The Pope is projecting…ah-gain!
The Truth is not flexible. The Truth remains rigid in the face of tyranny and stupidity. The ignorant desire their own version of truth so they can sin and not be punished. Or so they believe.
Matthew 7:15-20 is a terrible passage to direct towards the head of the Holy Catholic Church, however fruit falling off his branches doesn’t smell so good.
Moving forward?
Or walking off a cliff?
Any obstacles that keeps one from falling off a cliff is a lifeline.
I’m guessing that we will see another exhortation in the near future. One which alludes to ordained women.
Oh. It will be filled with crunchy sickening sweet fruit which we will be told supercedes past understandings of ordination. The wordsmiths are probably drafting up the forward thinking document at this very moment. The Magisterium is suppose to be the lifeline. I hope it’s sturdy.
Clarification.
Priests have been giving spontaneous blessings for years.
I have misgivings about the abuses that will come from priests who will “not” adhere to the letters directives.
Im positive that conservative priests will.
Was this document truly needed?
Couplings are unions, coupling is copulation, couples are two, any couple thought to be a couple of course mirrors a man and woman… (every plumber and electrician knows this, anyone with a 8th grade education knows this, only someone with a doctorate might be persuaded otherwise & there are few of those.)
Somewhere along the line PF must have thought really really hard and decided that: “all thought is tradition and rigid, all tradition is thought, and rigid is bad, in fact it’s an ideology.”
At least, I hope so. For in that way he(?) might be able to claim invincible ignorance. Guess I’m pope-splaining.
Maybe we should refer to the past understanding of couples as the “Noah ideology”? And Ocean Tides as “rigid”.

The Truth is an obstacle to ‘moving forward’ for anyone on the path to hell.
… and if their intentions were not to fight against the evils of sodomy and to live in unity with God’s will, then the Catholic priest who has devoted his life to same sex attracted individuals is of what use to them? To condone their lifestyle choice and then…. by chance of course… because this was spontaneous… a photo was taken.

There are very traditional priests in the upper Virginia peninsulas. Not sure about the staffs in the Richmond and Arlington Dioceses though. Our Vicar in a private conversation was discussing what would happen if he and other priests were approached to bless a same sex union/ civil marriage. He would not and he thought the other priests would not bless the union. He thought the request should be passed to the diocese. Let them handle the ensuing lawsuit.
Pope Francis is a dangerous man; he is a source of scandal to the Church and he leads some of the faithful on the road to perdition.

St Paul’s appeal to Timothy, his son in the faith, concerns us all: “I charge thee before God, who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus, who gave testimony under Pontius Pilate, a good confession… keep that which is committed to thy trust (the deposit), avoiding the profane novelties of words, and oppositions of knowledge falsely so called. Which some promising, have erred concerning the faith” (1 Tim 6:13, 20-21). The deposit of faith continues to be a supernatural divine gift. But today, the crisis of the Church has entered a new phase: the crisis of the Magisterium. Certainly, the authentic Magisterium, as a supernatural function of the Mystical Body of Christ, exercised and guided invisibly by the Holy Spirit, cannot be in crisis; the voice and action of the Holy Spirit are constant, and the truth towards which it leads us is steadfast and unchanging.

The Truth of the Gospel is insurance against man’s fallibility. Pope Francis is in a free fall into hell.
All he does is admonish. For this or that. His ideology aside, he is like that person who is always looking to tell someone off. Such a negative uninspiring individual. Any parent will tell you that if you constantly admonish ypur children, they end up tuning out and ignoring you. I have tuned out to Pope Francis. I can’t tolerate his yappa yappa yappa how everyone around him is rubbish.
