Problem is that the quality of judges has been diminished in the last couple of decades by political considerations rather than competence and judicial temperament. One example of the few quality judges left is Alan Dershowitz, a liberal but one who looks to the law as written instead of trying to fit it in to his personal feelings.
I wish I could hold out hope that a new administration would result in a new DoJ, but short of a GOP super-majority including enough actual conservatives to corral the squishy RINO/Dem collaborators, such a development remains elusive, I fear.
