Yes Mary is everything. We owe Her so much. If ever there was a woman to be celebrated and admired and honoured in her littleness and her strength and her gentleness, it is Mary. We are so Bleased to have Her.
I agree with you Ezabelle.
I love the Sun / Moon analogy.
She is not the light, but ever so perfectly reflects the light, as the moon does so from the Sun.
In the darkest nights look up. See for yourselves that the Son hasn’t abandoned you. No, not even close, for the Mother shows us His love shining in the firmament, in the darkest nights of our lives, the Son is still there. Thanks to our Lady who cares for us as only a loving mother could.
When she told St. Bernadette; I Am the Immaculate Conception Saint Maximilian Kolbe stated that her brilliant whiteness isn’t to be considered as white as snow, but white in it’s most complete form. She is not the Light, but a perfect reflection of it. As perfect as one could ever conceive.

A poem via Blessed Archbishop Fulton Sheen.
