She died from having the misfortune of living in Gaza when it was led by murderous psychopaths calling themselves a government, who decided to engage in acts that would likely have shocked even the Nazis as a way of starting a war with Israel that they were bound to lose.
”She died from an Israeli airstrike”
Correction, Mario Nawfal, that poor young lady died because the cretinous thugs running Gaza use civilians like her as human shields for their military assets. If the corrupt barbarians of Hamas gave a damn about the people they rule/exploit, she’d still be alive.
And it disgusts me that this awful Nawful person exploits her even in death. Hamas are ghouls, and the people who shill for them are grotesque.
Israel protects her people with missiles.
Hamas protects its missiles with people.
And there are plenty like her who are, sadly, collateral damage during this war. For Hamas to think they could get away with their actions on October 7, is beyond comprehension. Gaza is now a mound of rubble.
A distressing number (to me, anyway) of self-identified “Traditional Catholics” continue to parrot the Hamas/Democrat/Communist myth that everything is Israel’s fault (or the fault of the US). This baffles me completely.
Frank- I agree. Its ignorant band-wagoning. They don’t know what they are supporting when they pull out the “Free Palestine” banners. And when you question them, they get defensive and say “where did I say I support Hamas?” Well, you can’t be on two sides of a war. Hamas started this with a delusional perception they would ever win this. I recently encountered one of these “traditional Catholics” on Instagram (a Lebanese Maronite Christian, mind you), who told me to stop engaging with him because I kept questioning his stance. He had an anti-Semitic prejudice he didn’t want to admit to because he wanted to lugg himself in with the “Arabs”…someone should have reminded him that the Lebanese Christian heritage identifies with the Phoenicians (not Arabs) and that it was the PLO who ignited the Lebanese civil war and the country has never recovered since. People pick and choose, because people are jealous of the Jews and their success as a group of people despite their adversity…and human nature hates successful people because it makes them jealous. They would rather sympathise with a group, Palestinians, who perpetually fail at governing themselves successfully and prosperously. Oh well, one less person to “follow” on Instagram.
The objection is that Hamas’ grand guignol performance has consequences. Because Jews are getting above their station if they respond. I think it may have been Joan Peters who observed that the motor of discourse in the Arab world on these matters is rage that the Jews in Israel are not a subaltern population and employ and supervise Muslims.

Are we sure she didn’t die of having graduated high up in her class? Wouldn’t be the first time Hamas got caught claiming Israel killed someone that their thugs murdered, repeatedly moving the bodies if needed.
More pointedly, gosh was she in that church that has been destroyed twice, now? Killing dozens each time, one must note.
(second time it actually took damage, an office nearby was damaged)
Foxfier- do you know if that Church bombing is bogus? I saw a link on the Church Facebook on October 10 saying that the bombing claims were false. Has it been bombed since? A day ago, the Church posted a black screen- no comment. Difficult to separate fact from fiction in this war…or know where to look for it…
Ezabelle-
The folks that actually manage the church pointed out it was false the first time.

and then the Orthodox Patriarch in Jerusalem started condemning hitting places with civilians sheltering– but not hiding behind such places– when a Hamas planning station got taken out and A WALL WAS DAMAGED.
Yes saw the first Facebook post from the Church that it was false.
Since then conservative Catholics have been falsely posting everything from crying nuns, to wrapped bodies at a funeral, women wailing. All of these videos/images only show a destroyed building (probably a wall/ office) BUT no indication it was the Church which was damaged.
With the precision which Israel is able to strike and its intel, it’s no surprise Hamas would have been inside/behind the buildings.
Lots of propaganda being circulated at the moment. Thanks for the clarification.
Odd, all the conservative Catholics I’m following are going more for the “Dude, they are literally calling for genocide of Israel, including those Arabs who live in peace there” and figure this is the Find Out section, other than one idiot on Crisis magazine that tried to tie it into video games and totally ignored the terror raid.
The Palestinian Authority (at least publicly) supports a two-state solution and affirms Israel’s right to exist. Hamas was elected in Gaza precisely because they openly call for the destruction of Israel. Genocidal aspirations are an electoral asset in Gaza.
