I have a pretty good recipe for synod.
Normally we don’t bust it out until the holidays but here it is;
• Three jiggers of Dark Rum.
• Nine scrapes of nutmeg.
• One carton of fresh synod. Pint size.
One would think that the Holy Catholic Church shouldn’t be spending so much time and effort focusing on libations, but kids will be kids.

Fun fact: the “real” Roseanne Roseannadanna was former NYC anchorwoman Rose Ann Scarmardella, who was most recently (around 2012, according to Wikipedia) seen hosting a Catholic TV show based in the Diocese of Hartford, CT.

It’s not a synod and I refuse to call it one. It’s a collection of Francis’ cronies and a few useful idiots, assembled to give a predetermined outcome a veneer of respectability. It’s a sham.
A synod would be an assembly of bishops, as many as was feasible to gather. This present mess in Rome is just a bunch of random people, some of whom are clerics. It is not a synod and I couldn’t care less what nonsense it decides.
