Years ago I was stuck in a snowbank on 17 in very bad weather between Kankakee and Dwight. The first people to stop to assist me was a black family of a mother and three teenage sons. They attempted to help dig me out. Human kindness tends to linger in the mind.

Only the media and those with something to gain create a divide amongst society. I think the average person doesn’t think much about colour or differences when it comes to the day to day. Who has time or energy to keep up the divide. It take much effort and it’s exhausting.
Being in South, I love me some red necks! 😂 they are first to stop if stuck on side of road. They were out when it was snowing/ice, clearing paths in roads bc the only cleaners are used on interstate (I think we have 1 ).
Say what you want, they live and prepare for this! ❤️
