The Truth of Job

 5 With the hearing of the ear, I have heard thee, but now my eye seeth thee.

 6 Therefore I reprehend myself, and do penance in dust and ashes.

Job 42: 5-6

Sometimes when we are at our lowest, that is when we most feel the presence of God.  Perhaps that is when we, like the Good Thief Dismas, turn in our pain to Christ, and truly see Him for the first time.  (No, I am in good health, thank you.  I just think the author of the above tweet is an example of a great spiritual truth.  When we are at risk of losing everything, we turn to the one thing that can never be taken from us:  the love of God.)

My God, I believe, I adore, I HOPE and I love you!
I ask pardon for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not hope and do not love You.

-Angel of Fatima to the 3 shepherd children.

I believe that God will draw us into himself under many different circumstances. Sometimes these moments are hidden in the disguise of agony and suffering. The end result being;
I know my Redeemer lives.

He speaks the absolute truth. I was speaking with another breast cancer survivor at church. We agreed that, while cancer is nothing we would wish on our worst enemy, we would not take back what had happened due to what God had done for us. He let me know his love, and he gave me back my soul. Blessed be God forever.
