The man purports to be a presidential historian. He has written about LBJ. If LBJ did not commit a felony a day it wasn’t for want of trying.
Burn of the Day

Donald R. McClarey
Cradle Catholic. Active in the pro-life movement since 1973. Father of three, one in Heaven, and happily married for 43 years. Small town lawyer and amateur historian. Former president of the board of directors of the local crisis pregnancy center for a decade.
Beaschloss, a Dem mouthpiece nothing more. Same with female historian, Doris what’s her name. Yawn.
Bechloss is a historical writer, not a historian per se. Actual historians have spent time hitting the archives (and, now and again, conducting interviews or examining bits of material culture), cannot be bothered with polemics, generally favor immersion in subjects of peculiar interest to them, and commonly have a reading knowledge of a foreign language. It doesn’t map quite to faculty positions or degrees, though these are consequential. Arthur Schlesinger may have written an actual work of history at some point, but he was primarily a Democratic Party publicist. David McCullough didn’t have the teaching post or the degrees, but he was the authority on Harry Truman. (There are people who retrospectively admire Lyndon Johnson and people who find the man distasteful, but everyone agrees he was a crook).
Don’t forget FDR, many of whose administration records are still sealed. Opening all of them would probably destroy the democrat party even though there is no one left to prosecute.
FDR routinely had the IRS provide him with copies of the tax returns of his political enemies.

Which records are ‘sealed’ after 78 years?
I seriously doubt there’s some undiscovered trove of dirt on Roosevelt. He was a philanderer married to an oddball who aged badly. That’s been known for decades. He was a New York pol and thus in the vicinity of a mess of skeevy characters and had to cut deals with them. His administration made good decisions and bad decisions.
Interesting that many of the folks gloating over the Democrats’ repeated indictments and prosecutions of Trump were the same people who gravely informed us that if Trump’s DOJ prosecuted Hillary Clinton over her illegal email servers and mishandling classified information (not to mention destroying evidence)— why, that would be the action of a dictator and the devolution of America into a banana republic.
Liberals who have fixed principles include Glenn Greenwald, Bari Weiss, and Alan Dershowitz. Most just have improvisations which provide specious justifications for what they want right now, and history begins anew each day.
President Andrew Johnson was prosecuted, not in a court of law but in the Senate, on completely BS charges for the sake of political advantage. The Democrats may have done this stuff the most, but the Republicans did it first.
As usual, inaccurate Dem facts.
Trump does not have to use bail bondsmen.
He could easily write the check himself.
He could also get 24 hours of free press by going into the Bastille with full Secret Service coverage.
Democrat Poker usually depends on to he opponent folding to a pair of deuces.
