Good catch, Don!
Good catch.
Those terms (conservative etc) are imposed by the ones about to do the beatings also, I’ve noticed.
Still sad about Dawn 🙁
“Capitalism” is the disaggregation of functions – ownership, management, finance, distribution, and motive power – which were once assembled in a single actor (and may continue to be in the smallest enterprises). Private enterprise is just what it says. A private enterprise need not be capitalist and a state enterprise may have most of the features of capitalism.
Our problem right now is the intersection of the state, crony capitalism, and crony philanthropy generating a network of patron-client relationships in a matrix of mendacious social propaganda. What Glenn Reynolds calls ‘gentry class solidarity’ is a features of this. Eden hasn’t got a clue.
Stunningly dishonest. I remember when it was Dawn Eden who sideswiped a horrible revelation about Planned Parenthood by making it about lying. The group that discovered what PP was doing (Live Action IIRC?) went undercover, and she said that – more than the whole PP thing – was the really bad part of the story. No matter how righteous the cause, so she wrote, there is no excuse for anything less than 100% honesty and purity in fighting the evils of the world. Where that is not the case, the failure to be purely honest becomes the only thing worth focusing on. That changed things on St. Blogs as I recall. Now to see this. Sad.
I never had any use for her after the incident linked below:

Can’t figure out how to reply here. But that was about the time I was remembering. When she insisted failure to be completely pure and honest negated any attempt to thwart evil. Now it’s this, and this is no accident. This is purposefully misrepresenting what was said. Or, as some might say, less than pure and honest. Sad to see what she is becoming.
