This whole exercise in malevolent make believe is meant to confuse.
No “dead naming” people who now claim to be the opposite sex. Mandating the use of pronouns to fit the assumed identity. Media reporting only the newly assumed sexual identity. Mandating the use of bathrooms of the new sexual identity. Males who pretend to be females being sent to female prisons. Females forced to compete against mail athletes who pretend to be female. Formulations such as sex being “assigned” at birth, pregnant people, chest feeders, etc. Female sanitary products being placed in male bathrooms. Young children indoctrinated into all this in school. Schools secretly subverting the real sexual identity of children. Mutilation of children and using chemicals to stop puberty being deemed to be gender affirming care. Defenders of reality, persecuted, fired, and, in some polities, subject to criminal penalties. Mass madness and mendacity usually march hand in hand throughout history, and so it is today.

Consider the recent case of cancer patient Marlene Barbera, denied further treatment by Oregon Health and Science University because she complained about the prominent display of the ‘transgender flag’ in the waiting room.
The case is appalling. A patient is refused cancer treatment because of her wrongthink.
Terrible about the cancer patient. Aren’t doctors morally obligated to care for criminals and enemy soldiers? Even if she’s seen as the enemy she should receive care.
Oregon Health and Science University supports the Love is Love meme, right up to the negligence of fiduciary conduct.
May the Barbera families be duly compensated for the injustice done to Marlene.

I used to visit a dermatologist in Fayetteville, NY who had some cartoons and the like on his office walls. They all had to do with medical insurance and health care finance, supplemented with his commentary about insurance re-imbursement practices requiring he schedule multiple appointments to remove my precancers. He’s the only doctor I’ve ever consulted who was the least bit given to this sort of commentary at work; it didn’t bother me as he was a solo practitioner trying to make a living and outside parties were gumming up his business. The medical profession as we speak seems bound and determined to generate contempt on the part of their clientele.
“Female sanitary products being placed in male bathrooms.” The first and only time I’ve seen this, ALL of them went into the trash. I’ve read that a lot of high school boys are also doing it to the frustration of the school administrators.
OT, while we’re at it, Oberlin College is suing their insurers, maintaining that the insurers are liable for intentional torts committed by Oberlin (and claiming the case was extensively appealed because the insurers insisted). Here’s hoping Oberlin has to write a fat check to cover the insurers’ legal costs.
