I just finished reading (more or less) Mary Eberstadt’s book “How the West Really Lost God.” Her basic thesis is that Christianity and Family go hand in hand. Her analogy is that the two can be viewed as a DNA strand. If the bonds break between the two, or if one side starts to collapse, then the other side will fall as well.
.
If the “family-oriented” portions of the faith prefer the Tridentine Rite, ultimately, they will get it. Might take some time, maybe a couple of generations, but they will win.

A young woman from my parish of St.Thomas More went to the Chartres pilgrimage -I understand a number of young Kiwis took the time to go. Wendy is due home on 30th. June. She is taking the time to go to London, where there is a memorial liturgy in the cell of St.Thomas More in the Tower of London that she intends to attend. She lived in the UK for about 8 years, and knows her way around – she is a wonderful young Catholic woman – she has a sister who is a nun in the Tyburn Monastery in London.
Hope for the future Don!
