IIRC correctly, on one of John Paul’s visits to the US, he was confused as to just where Notre Dame was located. They are 20,000 feet in the air.
So Bishop Strickland is not a pagan and not a homosexual, and Mike Lewis wants him removed because he is an “extreme case”. For once, Mike Lewis and I are in agreement. Bishop Strickland is an extreme case. He routinely speaks out in defense of the faith in ways almost no other American bishop would even contemplate. As measured against all but a handful of his “brother” bishops his views are extreme.
Given that the pontiff’s primary governing principle is the friend-enemy distinction, he probably has been informed of the existence of that hive of lickspittlery. He may even deign one day to give Mike a personal pat on the head, like he did for the British piano teacher who defended Amoris Laetitia.
But Lewis’s tweet only proves how morally deranged he is: he actually considers Strickland’s tweets to be worse than Stika’s defense of sexual assault.
But nothing surprises me from Team Bergoglio any more.
Bishop Strickland is only extreme bc the others have abandoned their faith for worldly pleasures and adulation.
So yeah, he would be extreme to them but only bc they are not living the faith.
You force a Bishop onto blind obedience for decades, then one day you decide everything you told him to stand, preach about and promote is “extreme”. That’s abuse in my book.
Im sorry but nobody has the right to wake up one day and decide the sky is not blue and declare it a decree. Give them that power and they will take it and abuse it.
Defy defy defy!
