GOFFSTOWN, NH — A visibly shaken Kaitlan Collins announced she will be suing Trump for assault and defamation after being destroyed by the former President on national television last night.
“He said things I didn’t agree with. Even worse, he said things I didn’t like,” said Collins in a statement. “It was the most traumatizing experience of my life. It was assault, plain and simple. And defamation. I’m suing Trump for $5 million like that other lady.”
Sources also reported Trump called the CNN host a “nasty person,” which trusted fact-checkers have determined was false.
Media experts applauded the announcement and were all in agreement that Trump’s performance in the town hall was the most horrifying spectacle ever televised. “I am literally shaking right now,” said CNN Host Jake Tapper. “The lies, the misinformation, the pure evil of that monstrous orange man is too much for my soul to bear. Our democracy is in danger once again. God help us all.”
Biden also responded to the town hall, saying: “Reflustrazuuure! Shut up, fat!”

Talk about schadenfreude…watching that grifting never-Trump tool Rick Wilson having a profanity-laced conniption was pure gold. 🤣 Also, Megyn did a pretty good job of critiquing the production, IMO.
I saw CNN for the first time when I returned from an overseas assignment in 1979. They were covering the Falklands war at the time. I thought starting the network was a worthy effort by Ted Turner as the other networks had gotten quite stale. Wonder what he thinks of what has turned into a Democrat mouthpiece now.
Turner used to be uber liberal. He has dropped off the radar for a while. The man must be in his nineties by now.
Turner up to about 1988 was not politically aligned. Then he let Jane Fonda take over his mind. If I understand correctly, he hasn’t had any operational control of his media properties since he sold his company in 1996. He’s 84 and has had Lewy Body disease for some time, so I don’t think you’ll be hearing any more from him. Presumably, one or another of his children is in charge of him. (He has five). I imagine he’s maddening.
I am surprised he is only 84. A man from the past receding in the rear view mirror.
I think it’s unfortunate that Turner will likely be remembered most for starting CNN, although he’s not responsible for its decline, and for becoming Mr. Jane Fonda. He was a marketing genius and was instrumental in the early development of the cable TV industry, although it seems to be a mature and possibly fading marketplace now, as presently constituted.
His obnoxious personality obscured his very realy talents. The heigh day of cable was short and Turner made the most of it.
Turner has Lewy body dementia, which was diagnosed about four and a half years ago. There’s a decent chance he’s non compos mentis now.

I do think there’s more than a little tragedy in the spiritual life of Ted Turner. His beloved sister died when he was young, and despite his prayers on her behalf. He kicked Christianity to the curb after that. I’m reading a book about theodicy right now, and the author’s insistence that it is one of, if not the most neglected pastoral issues affecting every strain of orthodox Christianity seems convincing to me. Prayers for the man and his loved ones.
