If you have a secret to protect, never involve a half wit like Kinzinger.
Like Prince Harry, he should have stayed in the military.
The leftist footsoldiers’ responses just show how little reason matters in modern discussion. Here are the common responses I’ve seen to the question of “why did Ray Epps not get arrested despite organizing for people to go into the capitol building?”
-“Lots of other people did that too, why do you care about him!” (Not even a response, as it concedes the premise that he should have been arrested and wasn’t)
-“He only advocated for violence but wasn’t actually violent, so there’s no reason to arrest him” (Putting aside the number of non-violent J6 protesters who were arrested, this would also mean that there would be no reason to blame Trump for anything.)
-“He’s on your side, why are you trying to ruin his life?” (Also not an answer, and an argument not used for anyone BUT Ray Epps.)
-“He never went into the capitol, so he’s blameless” (Again this would make Trump blameless, but it’s also untrue: on page 58 of the transcript questioning Epps, Epps admits to entering the capitol building. He claims that it was just for “a couple of steps” but others have been jailed for doing as much.)
We all know that Epps was an asset. That part is less interesting to me than the fact that vast swathes of the population will accept blatant propaganda with no reasoning behind it. Something to keep in mind when we get control again.
