We Are So Doomed

If things go south with China, a 25% chance I think, the Draft is coming back big time.  Generations of indoctrination to destroy patriotism, and demonization of white males who make up the bulk of the combat arms, and we are shocked that few wish to join the woke military.

I’m not fighting for those people in charge, draft or no draft.
There is one good this to a huge hole in border wall.
I suppose we will know it’s coming if they fix it.

The CCP is doing their best to destroy us without firing a shot. Or replace our model of government with one of their own.

Hard to fight again for a nation that has diligently slaughtered more innocent human persons than old Adolph and seeks to do far more.

OK, I’m puzzled…Why the picture of LTC Vindman and Rachel Levine? One is clearly a transsexual, the other is very much not. Not a fan of either, but I am missing the connection.

They can start the draft in DC’s ring suburbs, Brooklyn, Ann Arbor, Madison, Portland and Cali’s gated communities first.

That’s the society Milley and Levine care about, after all.

Given how we have run down our stockpiles, I am at a loss as to how we would even inconvenience the ChiComs, but good luck to us, I guess.

Maybe we can slow them down with the race card.

Why the picture of LTC Vindman and Rachel Levine?

I’m guessing it’s because they’re both fine examples of the woke mind-virus that has infected our government, the primary reason for difficulty in recruiting these days. The kind of people who used to volunteer for the armed forces are probably all on domestic terrorist watchlists nowadays anyway.

I would ask for $100,000 minimum if I were interested in returning.

Not many years ago one could try getting a section 8 by dressing in women’s clothing and using makeup.
MASH’ fictional character, Klinger, comes to mind.

Today it’s viewed as honorable and distinguished since the virtue signaling is running rampant in their circles.

Makes one vomit.

I have no doubt that my sons would be drafted. One put behind the front lines (state side probably) as medical personnel. The second probably part of whatever part of the military is in charge of construction or logistics. He’d be good at both.
.
The third? Cannon fodder. I hate to put it that way, but that is what these evil people would do with him.
.
Do not think that illegal aliens or their supporters, anyone connected with a leftist group or the trans movement, the sons and/or daughters of union officials, college profs, or politicians will ever be drafted. Won’t happen.

I will get my sons out of the country. Their mother has Colombian citzenship. No way as long as these disgusting vermin are running things in Washington.

No.
Not my sons.
Not for you, Biden, Pelosi, Schumer, AOC. Never for you.

If I remember correctly retired military can be called back. But most of us probably would need medical waivers or special senior standards for PT. The military needs youngsters.

Speaking of war with China:

https://www.usni.org/magazines/proceedings/2023/march/submarines-will-reign-war-china

Aircraft carriers will prove impotent against Chinese hypersonic missiles that cannot be detected and stopped till impact. But while submarines will dominate to protect Taiwan, I have seen figures purport that we will lose 40% of whatever we put into the fight. And the 2021 collision of the USS Connecticut SSN-22 with an undersea geophysical feature (whatever that may be) does not fill me with any optimism. The South China Sea is rather shallow for optimum submarine maneuvering. We’re going to get our a$$es handed to us, and whoever is President will be crying like Caesar Augustus of old:

Quintili Vare, legiones redde!

BTW, AUKUS (the nuclear submarine agreement between Australia, the UK and the US to counter China) will now include France (which was marginalized after Australia kicked them out), and in typical Naval fashion it will be called FAUKUS where the F stands for France. The word similarity with a certain expletive is truly something that even George Orwell did not imagine with Ingsoc and Newspeak. I think this is all prophetic in a very terrible way.

Not mine, not for some overseas idiocy that could have been (and possibly can even now) prevented by drilling for oil and fossil fuels here. Or mining for “rare earths.” Or building more nuclear power plants.

“,,,and in typical Naval fashion it will be called FAUKUS…”
snorts with laughter Well, given the current leadership we have here, I guess I’m not that surprised or horrified. Besides, all we need do is drop the S and it has a whole different meaning.
Might I ask where you came across this tidbit?

“But most of us probably would need medical waivers or special senior standards for PT.”
More likely they’d put us all through a few months of daily PT training, then hand us rifles. ..Then stand back and watch to see who survives. Or, some of us who’ve been under arms before might be returned to officer or NCO ranks.
If that happened, I definitely would want to change career fields. If I’m going to risk my neck again, …I’d much rather conduct the fight than be a sitting duck at a (supposedly) safe location.

F=France + A=Australia + UK=UK + US=US. Hence, FAUKUS. Yes it has a ring to it LQC- 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️

France came into the AUKUS because our PM wanted to “smooth relations with France” after Australia reneged on a submarine deal opting instead for nuclear powdered ones supplied by US. US ones are far superior- we were paying for outdated technology with France, of which security was not even guaranteed. Why would Australia ally with France to secure the Pacific against China, when the US has been an ally with Australia for more than 100 years in the South Pacific?

Nevertheless the whole AUKUS will be a very, very expensive exercise for Australia (our kids will still be paying for it. Maybe their kids too)

The deal to bring France into AUKUS is for a French company to supply 155mm ammunition shells and an Australian company will manufacture the gunpowder. The ammunition will be used by artillery by Ukraine for their armed forces.

War makes people rich.
