Trump has been completely unhinged about DeSantis, and so have his online acolytes. I like DeSantis. My only concern about him is if he got the nomination Trump would do his worst to make sure his supporters sat out the 2024 general election, Trump having nothing but scorn for being a team player. However, a lot could happen between now and then.
Conservatives got much of what they wanted with Trump. But at what cost?
I believe Trump has no chance of winning the 2024 presidential election.
All of the charges brought up against him have been BS. Overall, he did a goid job but was a complete failure in draining the swamp. He did not fire nearly as many swamp rats as he should have fired. Leaving Fauci in his job was a disaster.
Trump’s political enemies will go to any length to take him.out.
I oppose Trump because he is 78 years old, has a thin skin, failed on his promise to even begin draining the swamp and his caustic remarks, which play well to the only Trumpers, put off women and independents.
DeSantis puts his agitators in their place without being New York-style crude and he has done a great job as governor.

He is Catholic
He has not been divorced
His dad is from Aliquippa, Pennsylvania and his mom is from Youngstown, Ohio. All but 7 years of my life has been within an hour of those towns.
I’m concerned that DeSantis will be or is a Neo Con. It’s evident the Neo Cons in Washington are salivating over him being elected.
I’m keeping my powder dry. I concede many of the points folks are making. However, I want to see how the primary plays out. Candidates change and can emerge as the clear choice after a tough primary. I hope that is the case for the eventual Republican nominee. Bottom line, we need to win and we need an unrelenting fighter to be the one to do it. Kari Lake comes to mind.

Nailed it. I pray that Trump will realize his greatest accomplishment could be to help ensure that someone else, younger and just as anti-Establishment as he is, wins in 2024. Then that new POTUS could appoint Trump as secretary of whichever Executive Branch bureaucracy is going to be disestablished next. In serial, starting with the Department of Education. Wouldn’t that be fun? I do think it would also be a blast to make Trump Secretary of Defense and let him sweep out the Aegean stables known as the Pentagon. The possibilities…😂
