Go here to read the story. The cops were armed with AR-15s. This of course is pretextual. The cops are being sued and now they want to put the blame for this debacle in which kids and teachers died on the scary rifle rather than on the cowardly cops. Cops who can’t summon up the guts to try to save kids, even at the risk of their own lives, aren’t men, let alone cops. The Uvalde cops just months before had been celebrating their Swat team, and teaching a course on how to confront an active shooter at a school. If you are yellow, all the gear and weapons and training won’t alter that fact.
I shudder at the thought of being on the scene, being a parent of one of the children and being physically held back while a madman is slaughtering students….and then to finish this nightmare, I find out that the serve and protect personnel have retreated. Sue them?
No..I’d want my child back and any anything less than that is unacceptable.

It would of been better to have died in the line of duty than to have to carry the badge of disgrace for a lifetime.
One officer could of made the difference. Could of saved at least one or two children but the ship has sailed.

How much body armor was the murderer wearing?
… The folks defending these cops are running out of excuses.
Police body armor which is made for pistol round protection will not (always) stop ANY center fire rifle round from ANY rifle, including the .223 round from the ArmaLite rifle (AR) the murderer had. And police armor will certainly not be of ANY protection against a 12 gauge shotgun slug, always fatal at close range.
So what the hell is their argument? “Our SWAT team only stops murderers killing children in mass if they are armed with pistols or pellet shotguns..”?? !!!!
The real problem is that people are stupid, they’ll believe the lie.
I lived in South Texas for many years. This is certainly not the Texas law officers that I knew.
