If Only Christ Had Been Able to Put SJ After His Name

As ever contemporary Jesuits, with a few honorable exceptions, luxuriate in the Luciferian sins of pride and arrogance.

Jesus is correct – does that really need to be pointed out?

Psalm 132:22 –> Perfecto odio oderam illos: et inimici facti sunt mihi.

To be balanced by Exodus 23:4-5 –> Si occurreris bovi inimici tui, aut asino erranti, reduc ad eum. Si videris asinum odientis te iacere sub onere, non pertransibis, sed sublevabis cum eo.

Apologies. Am unable to read Hebrew’s right to left script. Latin & Greek are about the best I can do, and my efforts are far from professional. 😞

Sidenote: I loathe, abhor, despise, detest, and hold in utter contempt and disdain modern Katholyck Biblical scholarship that denies Moses wrote the Torah and Isaiah wrote Isaiah, and asserts that Creation, the Flood, the Tower of Babel, the Parting of the Red Sea, etc. are all myths. May God Almighty in His infinite mercy for His Holy Church damn to hell all liberal progressive modern Biblical scholarship, Catholic and Mainstream Protestant. The Conservative Evangelicals and Pentecostals put us to SHAME.

PS, look in the study notes of your NABRE from the USCCB. They are freaking HERETICAL!!! The last truly GOOD Catholic study Bible was Father George C Haydock’s Douay-Rheims of 1859. The Douay-Rheims isn’t the best translation because it gives the English for the Latin which itself is a translation from the original languages. BUT the study notes are AUTHENTICLY Catholic.

I feel like burning my copies of the NABRE.

Jesus isn’t wrong. Taking Jesus’ words out iof context is.

Our pastor ends each sermon with, “Praised be the Name of Jesus.” We respond, “Now and forever.”

From my little Rosary booklet which my Nana gave me decades ago. The Fifth Sorrowful Mystery of The Most Holy Rosary of The Blessed Virgin Mary, The Crucifixion. Pray for the grace of final perseverance. Meditate on the love [and courage!] which filled Christ’s Sacred Heart during the three hours of agony on the Cross. And ask Him to be with you at the hour of your death.

Regarding Jesus defining ‘friends.” I need to go back and check. I do know that in several places, Jesus concisely defines precisely who are his ‘mother,’ ‘brothers’ and ‘sisters.’ Jesus’ brothers/sisters are those who do God’s Will. See Matt. 12:48-50; Mark 3:31-35; Luke 8:19-21.

Do I not hate, LORD, those who hate you?
Those who rise against you, do I not loathe?
With fierce hatred I hate them,
enemies I count as my own.

~ Psalm 139:21-22

Pardon me repeating myself, please, but the next Catholic pope ought to issue his decree suppressing the Jesuits on his first day in the See of Peter. Those few faithful SJ priests will be welcome in any faithful order or diocese. The rest can go wash cars for a living, as far as I’m concerned. Make-believe priests like Reese ought to be laicized to boot.

@Frank,

The problem goes much deeper than heretical clergy in the Society of Jesus. The Catholic scholars who write Bible commentaries and Bible study notes for the NABRE (even the Didache edition of the NABRE), the New Jerusalem Bible, the New Catholic Bible (a recent translation), and even the Navarre Bible series using the RSV2CE are liberal progressive heretics! They disbelieve Creation, the Flood, The Tower of Babel, the Parting of the Red Sea, etc., etc. etc. They propose that Moses did not write the Torah, that it was produced by a conglomeration of Elohimists, Yahwehists, Priests and Deuteronomists after the Babylonian exile. They say Isaiah was not written by Isaiah, but by two or three different people. They don’t believe Daniel was written by Daniel because how could he prophecy the Seleucid tyranny? The Holy Spirit actually inspired him? These scholars don’t believe that St. Paul wrote all the Epistles bearing his name, and that 2nd Peter wasn’t written by St. Peter, and that St. John didn’t write 2nd and 3rd John. I could go on and on and on with this freaking crap. Catholic Biblical scholarship has followed liberal progressive Protestant horse poop (Episcopal Church, United Presbyterian Church, Evangelical Lutheran Church – not Evangelical at all – etc.). The days of Scripture-believing men like Father George C. Haydock are gone. And until Catholic Academia is purge of these godless worthless useless heretics, the infestation and infiltration of demonic diabolical liberalism is only going to get worse.

I will say again: conservative Protestant Evangelical and Pentecostal Bible scholars are light years ahead of anything Catholic. Yes, they completely miss the Sacraments, they don’t believe in the Real Presence in the Bread of Life Discourse in John chapter 6, etc., etc., etc. BUT they believe that Moses wrote the Torah, that God parted the Red Sea, and that Jesus actually multiplied the loaves and the fishes (the crowd didn’t all share together). Give me an ESV Study Bible or a CSB Study Bible or even the dreaded NIV Study Bible any day of the week over the worthless, useless NABRE.

BTW, I have just about every Catholic, Protestant and Orthodox Study Bible, and a number of commentaries as well, in my library as well as the Hebrew OT and Greek NT which I use with Strong’s Concordance to figure stuff out. And of course I have several Latin Vulgate editions (the Clementine, the German one, and Pope JP II’s Nova Vulgata – yup, theer are different editions). The worst of the lot are the Catholic commentaries. It’s obvious the people who wrote them aren’t Catholic in any sense of the word.

One other thing: if Catholic Biblical scholarship is this bad, then just imagine what the rest of the theological writings of these scholars is like. This is the kind of crap priests are taught in seminary! No wonder heretics like Jorge Mario Bergoglio can rise to power! Argh!!!!

John 14:6: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

What moves us to believe is not the fact that revealed truths appear as true and intelligible in the light of our natural reason: we believe “because of the authority of God himself who reveals them, who can neither deceive nor be deceived”.
– From Paragraph # 156 – Catechism of the Catholic Church

“But I awakened and would not serve madness. I turned back and joined the ranks of those who have corrected Thy work. I left the proud and went back to the humble, for the happiness of the humble. What I say to Thee will come to pass, and our dominion will be built up. I repeat, to-morrow Thou shalt see that obedient flock who at a sign from me will hasten to heap up the hot cinders about the pile on which I shall burn Thee for coming to hinder us. For if any one has ever deserved our fires, it is Thou. To-morrow I shall burn Thee. Dixi.”
– From the Grand Inquisitor’s speech in “The Brothers Karamazov” by Fyodor Dostoevsky
