News this AM: Smithsonian backed down and issued a somewhat mealy mouthed apology.
A modest donation was submitted to the ACLJ office this morning. The pathetic apology won’t cut it.
The participants of Rosary Pro-Life who were shut out from their public buildings due to bullying, need a substantial monetary apology.

It says something about the institutional culture of the Smithsonian that multiple employees would go out of their way to harass patrons, and do so for such blatantly ignoble reasons. (Their press office implicitly admits that the staff did precisely what was alleged and makes no claim tha their staff was provoked). I’m going to wager that the staff who behaved this way are all under 30 and that the security guard in question is a bull dyke.

The don’t need to ‘go broke’. Ultimately, government action consists of things done by people. I realize people dealing with the public can have disagreeable confrontations with them, but the implication of the press release is that the staff went looking for trouble. ‘Retraining’ won’t do here. Publish their names and fire them.

I remember many years ago told that we would have a pro-life future–all those abortion minded would have abortions, and only pro-life folks would have children, who would then raise them to be pro-life.

Troublesome employees tend to be young and to be treated with undue tolerance. That doesn’t say much about what portion of the young are troublesome.
