We finish Mass and have a brunch at WreckingBall Roadhouse with our Hell’s Angels friends. Then we put on our black masks and Antifa hoodies hitting the financial district with spray paint and bricks. To round out our afternoon we firebomb pregnancy centers and deface statues in Catholic Church grottos.
That’s our day of rest as a Radical Traditional Catholic who enjoys the Latin Mass.

Hoover favored Irish Catholics for his FBI agents. He said they didn’t mind risking their skins since they feared nothing except God, and that gangsters often feared them. Quite a different FBI. Hoover had his problems, but he largely kept the FBI from being a plaything of the President of the day.

Hoover’s FBI learned nothing about the Siciliante Mafia’s intramural organization from its formation in 1931 until the Apalachin meeting in 1957.
I think it’s had different pathologies in different ages. The Ruby Ridge and Waco fiascos (1992 / 93) were an indication of a troublesome institutional culture; no one was punished for these disasters and the FBI was antagonistic to local prosecutors in Idaho attempting some accountability. Andrew McCabe and Peter Sztrok were hired around 1996 and their careers prospered during the Mueller and Comey regimes (2001-17). There may be field offices you could salvage for inclusion in successor agencies, but I cannot help thinking the agency has to be destroyed and certainly anyone above a certain rank debarred from federal employment.
One problem is that the federal penal code is just too voluminous and applicable to too many situations. (See the federal prosecution of the Subway pitchman and his chum). Mr. McKenna has also noted that federal sentencing guidelines are severe compared with state penal codes. Something must be done to fix the penal code. The collapse of ethics in U.S. Attorney’s offices and the federal judiciary (as manifest in the J6 trials) is horrifying.

Hoover wasn’t an idiot. He knew about the Mafia. He simply didn’t want to tackle them because he knew it would be a hard fight and devour FBI resources. He liked to pick his targets and he liked easy wins. He also never trusted the DOJ and knew that going after the Mafia would increase DOJ influence on the FBI, which it did.

All jokes aside Frank- you could be onto something- there’s no coincidence that the thinking of the two institutions has become degenerate and alike. The same agenda is being played out.

Ironic that the FBI should single out “rad trad Catholics” as a threat, given that one of their most notorious spies, Robert Hanssen, was a member of Opus Dei. I seem to remember that at one time the FBI may have actually favored hiring members of Opus Dei because they were good at following orders and keeping a low profile. (They also, I understand, favored Mormons for the same reason.)
Robert Hanssen was not a member of the Opus Dei but his wife Bonnie was. In prison he only started talking when he was assured that his wife would receive his retirement to support her and the six kids. We are not Opus Dei but our boys went to an Opus Dei school for a short while and were in a car pool with two Hanssen boys. We met Hanssen only once at a school fund raiser. He bragged about how he had recently debriefed a Russian Admiral or General in NYC. His revelations were wholly inappropriate for cocktail party small talk and made us uncomfortable. Bonnie Hanssen was very pretty and sweet. I felt sorry for his sons after he was arrested. One of the sons had told us he wanted to follow in his older brother’s foot steps – college, Marine Corps, law school and going to the FBI Academy at Quantico. .
Peculiar how the FBI sees traditional, orthodox Catholics as a likely threat to society; but appear to have little interest in the organized thuggery and mayhem of antifa.
