That video is likely from an episode first broadcast > 50 years ago. One problem we have as a culture is that people of Rogers’ disposition are commonly quite other-directed, and if his widow hadn’t abruptly expired two years ago, one can easily imagine she might have been sunshine and smiles in the presence of all the lunacy (though, conceivably, she might not have been). Someone like J.K. Rowling, who is thus far not budging, is the exception among the pleasant people in public life.
