The Left is Very Beatable

Donald R. McClarey
Cradle Catholic. Active in the pro-life movement since 1973. Father of three, one in Heaven, and happily married for 43 years. Small town lawyer and amateur historian. Former president of the board of directors of the local crisis pregnancy center for a decade.

Stand up to bullies. I repeat, stand up to bullies. If you don’t know how, watch the dinner table scene from the movie American Sniper. Chris Kyle’s father gives the 100 level course on how to do it, and better yet, why do it.
Father of Seven – “Amen!” Acquiescence to the demands of bullies begets a new set of demands. They’re called progressives because they believe in continued progress, or movement, not in an end. The movement can never stop and the goalposts move. Therefore they must be halted early.
There should never be an ‘Advanced Placement’ test in ‘African American Studies’. Black studies is not a discipline; it is a locus of narrative manufacture, social ideology, and bullying. Serious institutions of higher learning do not waste money on victimology programs (in which students have no interest, btw).
The outer boundary of the number of examinations the Educational Testing Service should be developing is about thirty, if that. None of them should be in niche subjects or transcend conventional disciplinary boundaries. About a dozen foreign language examinations (if that), about eight history examinations (if that), about four in the natural sciences, about two in English, and 6-8 in other subjects (if that). A dozen would suffice to accommodate the vast majority of students.
The number one reason for DeSantis’s continued success is that he actually took action against voter fraud in Florida.
Art:
I’d be tighter than you propose: restrict the exams to advanced math and foreign language, areas in which precocity has long been demonstrated, and let kids take college coursework in college.
and let kids take college coursework in college.
Disagree. The BA degree is stupidly padded and should be abolished. The utility of AP credits is that they allow youths to dispense with some of the padding.
It’s not the left.
You have to beat their laser jet printers.
DeSantis is nobody’s pushover and Trump is going to learn that.
DeSantis is Florida born and bred,…..but..his dad is from Aliquippa, Pennsylvania and his mom is from Youngstown, Ohio. His parents were not raised to be pushovers and he isn’t one, either.

Again, abstractions do not do these things, the people working for them do these things. Publish the names of the employees who did this.
You work in museums, libraries, and archives, and you have the occasional disagreeable encounter with a patron. However, you manufacturing such encounters should be cause for summary dismissal.
