The plan of the Puppetmasters was to find a way to dump Joe after the midterms. With the Red Shrug the Democrats are stuck with this dementia patient as their standard bearer in 2024, who plans to change nothing in what he has been doing.

If Joe is hit with the 25th amendment or guided into resigning, it’s because a critical mass of the cabinet have come to an understanding with Pelosi et al that taking orders from Douglas Emhoff, Maya Harris, and Tony West is preferable to taking them from Klain and Jill.
I’m still expecting Biden to resign or be forced out of office after the midterms, especially if the Democrats complete the NV-AZ-GA sweep with Georgia next month and get 51 votes in the Senate, as it now looks like they have a real chance to do.
That 51st vote would eliminate the VP Senate tiebreaker, which would in turn free them up to dump Harris and install someone actually competent in the VP slot (and I have nightmares that’s going to be Obama–the Constitution only limits someone to being ELECTED President twice), at which point they’ll have no reason to pretend they need Ol’ Joe any longer.
