Republicans: 222

The Republicans and the Democrats are likely switching places in the House with the GOP having a five seat majority.  Hard to do a lot with such a slender majority except blocking everything that the Puppetmaster’s Administration wants to do, which is important.

I am going to be contrary to my usual persona and express some optimism. Current Election Results according to Associated Press:

Senate – 46 DEM, 47 GOP
House – 172 DEM, 199 GOP
Governorship – 21 DEM, 24 GOP

(1) Thank God that we have come this far.
(2) Continue to pray that remaining tallies of ballots are consistent with the above results obtained thus far.
(3) Let’s stop snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

I will now return to being my normal pessimistic self.

So when the RINO’s still in the House and Senate (the majority) capitulate and compromise with the unDemocratic Dems, as they always do, not much is going to be different.

Have to agree with Elaine’s comment, though I agree with LQC as well. Keep praying and hoping. And now we need to figure out how not to allow 2024 to be stolen, and then do whatever that takes.

All that could have been hoped for was to block bad legislation.
I would have preferred the Republicans to have taken the Senate, though. It looks now like the Democrats will have that instead, and with one or two spare votes, so Manchin will not be able to block foolishness like getting rid of the filibuster. That could hurt. I don’t expect it to matter much in terms of confirming appointments or ratifying treaties.
With Republican control of the House, I estimate about a 40% chance of an impeachment of Biden in retaliation for the two Trump impeachments. These would also go nowhere, but tit for tat is the state of American politics. There is no statesmanship at all any more.

If the Senate ends up 50-50 again, I don’t see an end to the filibuster. Manchin is on thin ice in West Virginia, which is just 23 miles away from my back door.
All the House could do anyway is put an end to whatever the Scranton Slug’s stringpullers want. That will have to do for now.

Thank God for small mercies.

To wit, from Carpe Dunkem, “We live in a post-knowledge, post-truth, post-logic society based solely on the whims of self-obsessed tribalistic rage monsters with Stockholm syndrome, whose worth and identity is completely tied to the success of their own captors.”

Most importantly [for me anyway] I was too wound up about the debacle. As a [trying to be] reverting Cristian that is very much not right.

Pray for those that hate you. Even damned commies and democrats are good to those that love them.

To be honest, I’m not sure what can be done to block fraud at this point. The Republicans will not have enough power to put in new measures against fraud, especially since many of those in office are too weak spined to even try. We saw some clear shenanigans in places like Arizona and I imagine we’ll find out that more occurred as time goes by. The DNC and the press (but I repeat myself) have signaled that they are willing to use any means necessary to win, and they’ll surely do more to keep the presidential candidate out, be he Trump, DeSantis or anyone else.

Blocking fraud– look at Florida and Iowa.

Which, incidentally, are also where we’ve got some nice victories; I’m looking at the guy that massive amounts of money– especially abortion money!– was poured out against winning anyways. (Nunn/Axne in Iowa, if he wins we’re all red in the house)

Probably the most interesting thing I’ve heard today…red wave coming…
“(dems) bracing for a fight to defend 23 seats to the GOP’s 10 in the next election cycle — many of them in red and purple territory.”

Two years to get 10 million recently arrived once illegal aliens qualified and registered to vote. Biden’s plan all along.

A waste of time. What I’d like to see is meticulous investigations of Administration misconduct, and carefully cataloguing every act of noncompliance. The real and appropriate revenge would be prosecutions of Merrick Garland and Christopher Wray a few years down the line.

Actually Commies& Ds are good to those they can use for political purposes—until they (those being used) are no longer of use.
