Saint of the Day Quote: Saint Ambrose Edward Barlow

“It is true that you have power given to you over me through a wicked policy but be aware although I appear
before you in quality of a criminal, being, as I am, a minister of Jesus Christ and a priest of the New Law, in
spiritual matters, I am judge and I declare to you that if you continue to condemn the innocent, and remain
in the darkness of heresy, you will have no part in the happiness of the children of God.”

Said by the Saint to the Judge at his trial.  He said this after rejecting the offer of the Judge to release him if he would promise to cease to preach the Faith to the people of England.
